NST : Favourites UiTM wary of Ipoh
KUALA LUMPUR: Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), who recently won the Division One title of the Malaysia Hockey League, are taking a cautious approach when they face Ipoh City Council in the President’s Cup semi-finals on Thursday.
UiTM manager Ahmad Tarmizy said Ipoh were the only team who held them to a draw in the league.
"Even though, the match was abandoned after half-time due to heavy rain, they were the only team that we did not beat in the league,” said Ahmad.
“I believe we have a 50 per cent chance of making the final.
"However, we are determined to win the President’s Cup.”
The other semi-final match is between Kedah and Politeknik.
